Aims and Objectives

Y-PERN is creating a step-change in how universities and policy making organisations collaborate in the region to support inclusive, place-based policies.

Y-PERN does this through taking a network model approach. A network approach recognises and values the diversity of academic policy collaborations and initiatives already taking place across the region, and seeks to support the connections between them.

Through a network approach, Y-PERN will also help to avoid duplication, provide opportunities for shared learning and build new capacities for academic policy knowledge exchange for Yorkshire & the Humber.
